Arcadia wins the 2013 Medici Book Club Prize

GroffArcadiaWe are proud to announce the awarding of The Medici Book Club Prize to Arcadia by Lauren Groff. Arcadia is a beautifully crafted novel that illuminates our common struggle to feel a part of a community, to accept our childhood and reclaim our lives by discovering our own truth and feeling we are enough. Congratulations to Lauren Groff for embodying the spirit of our award, which recognizes the impact great works of

fiction can have on book club readers through thoughtful discussion.

The $5000 prize will be awarded at The Beverly Hills Literary Escape on Sunday, October 20.

The mission of the Medici Book Club Prize is to recognize a distinguished work of fiction that has inspired thoughtful conversation and contributed to a deeper understanding of the human experience. The $5,000 award is the first annual national prize given to acknowledge the tremendous impact that book club selections have on readers.

The Medici Book Club Prize nominees are selected by an advisory council which includes nationally celebrated book group coordinator and founder of the Beverly Hills Literary Escape, Julie Robinson; three judges annually who have written and published respected works of literature; and the Medici Founding Patrons.
