Erika Recordon is a fiction writer and a teacher. Her work has received awards from the Vermont Studio Center and various literary journals. She holds a degree in Literature with a Creative Writing emphasis from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Before coming to LA, Erika spent several years working in the book publishing industry in NYC. She began at the Writers House Agency and then went on to become a junior agent at the Robin Straus Literary Agency. She has also worked at Tin House Magazine, Poets House, and The Poetry Project at St. Mark’s Church. In Los Angeles, Erika has been a fiction editor for the Los Angeles Review of Books and the Education Coordinator at L.A.N.D. (Los Angeles Nomadic Division) and the Museum of Contemporary Art at Santa Barbara. She has taught writing classes in various community workshops such as The Attic Institute in Portland and Writopia Lab in Los Angeles.
Taly lives in Hollywood. Last summer, she planted her first vegetable garden. She’s still squeamish about earthworms.
